Carlito Fajardo Gonzales was born on May 1st, 1943 in San Felipe, Zambales to Patricio and Juanita Gonzales. Carlito attended St. Columbans in San Felipe and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. On March 19, 1966 he married his childhood sweetheart, Norma Francia Farrales. In this marriage they had 4 wonderful and loving children, Dana, Rupert, Carleen and Carl Jr.
In 1970, Carlito started his journey as a Naval family in the United States. Carlito served the U.S. Navy for 20 years in various locations, such as Virginia, California, Japan and eventually moving to Ewa Beach, Hawaii in 1976. Carlito proudly served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy and retired in Hawaii.
Carlito and family found their way back to California and lived in Lathrop for 20 years working for Tracy Depot, before moving to Winchester, Ca in 2009.
Carlito’s first love, Norma, preceded him in death in 2015. They were happily married for 49 years.
Carlito found love again and married Josephine Susan Aquino Gonzales on May 2024 in the Philippines.
Carlito is survived by his wife, Josephine Susan Aquino Gonzales, his children, daughter Dana and Lamar Saffold. Son, Rupert and Shirley Gonzales. Daughter, Carleen and Julie Downing. Son, Carl Jr. Carlito is so proud of his grandchildren, Cassandra (Vince) Smith, Lamar Jr. (Andi) Saffold, Matthew and Cristina Gonzales. Lolo had 2 great grandchildren, Malaya Smith and Wesley Saffold.
Siblings: Juanito (Celicitas) Fajardo, Bienvenido (Juliana) Fajardo, Esther (Luis) Garcia and Alfredo (Teresita) Gonzales. Sister-in-law Ernesta Alcantara & Violeta Féria and honorary brother Policarpo Ferrer.
Preceded in death – In laws, Ester Florentino, Conchita (Juanito) Abdon, Jesus (Violeta) Farrales, and Mirasol Farrales Rehor.
And numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
