Amado Amameda Olalia, 80 years old of Murrieta California, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Amado was born in Pampanga, Philippines on November 20, 1943. He attended Mapua College and founded Olafer Construction in Manila, Philippines. He married Lydia Ferrer in 1970 and in 1984, moved his family to Oxnard, California, where he was employed by the Oxnard school district for 25 Years. He was a dedicated family man and extremely hard worker. Additionally, he worked at Baker’s Square and McCormick Factory to provide for his family.
Amado was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and was a passionate Catholic, who enjoyed attending Church services every Sunday.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lydia Olalia his children Jennifer Svoboda (Cary), Shella Gallardo (Virgilio), Anthony Olalia (Daisy), and Corazon Dela Rosa (Roden). His grandchildren Virgilio “JunJun” Olalia Gallardo III, D’Angelo Amado Gallardo, Kianna Joy Svoboda, Jason Richard Svoboda, Jazmine Lusung Gungon, Jaiden Lusung Olalia, Ira Mikaela Dela Rosa, Enzo Miguel Dela Rosa and Selena Gabrielle Dela Rosa.
