Petra F. Green
January 2, 1939-January 27, 2024Petra F. Green was born to the late Luciano Austria and Antonina Farinas Austria on January 2, 1939 in Pasay Manila, Philippines. She had one brother and three sisters: Rodelia Austria, Clarita Austria Labrador, and Nora Austria.
When World War II began, Petra and her family fled from Manila to her mother’s hometown province San Felipe, Zambales. Even at a young age, Petra was known to be hardworking. She took on many jobs to help support her family, including fishing and farm work.
She met Richard A. Green and they were married on October 14, 1962 in Bataan, Philippines. In December 1975, she immigrated to the US with her husband and two daughters.
When she arrived in the US, she worked as a hotel housekeeper, nurse’s aide, and machine technician. She was known to work multiple jobs at the same time. Petra retired from Abbott Vascular Inc. in Temecula, CA after working for thirty years as a machine technician. She embodied the saying, “work hard, play hard.”
Petra loved going to the casino, playing cards, shopping, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed dancing to her favorite song, “My Girl.”
She leaves many loved ones behind: husband Richard A. Green of Temecula CA, daughter Gloria L. Green of San Diego CA, daughter Frida (Keith) Motte of Temecula CA, sister Nora Austria of San Felipe Zambales, Philippines, grandson Richard A. Toliver, granddaughter Rozena L. Jones, granddaughter Clarinda N. Essien, granddaughter Nastassia R. Motte-Ginger, granddaughter Jasmine Herndon, grandson Jonathan B. Motte, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Auntie Glo, as I sit in the parking lot of the funeral home and the sun comes from behind the clouds, I can't help but to smile. I know your physically not here but the memories will never be taken away. We have decades of memories to last a lifetime. You have lived such a purposeful life and left a legacy that will continue for a long time. I know once you transitioned, I'm sure my daddy looked at you and started talking mess. and probably said what the heck are you doing here. Lol He got a kicked out of messing with you and you him. But please give him a kiss and hug for me. This isn't a good-bye it's see you again soon. We will miss and love you. ❤️ Rest in Heaven tita Glo

I’m going to miss my dear friend Petra. I still remember when my two children were still young she was the one to babysit and watch over them. I remember her telling me that my son David didn’t want to change his diaper, so he ran around the house and she had to chase him. Lol Also I will miss our many parties and our pares pares games that lasted throughout the weekend. Our kids didn’t like our games because we played so long and they would have to sleep anywhere Petra rest in heaven. I will always pray and miss you Love Seming

Petra was a wonderful, loving and caring lady. She kept her family and close friends foremost in mind. We visited each other's home on many times for different occasions. She presented us with lots of laughs and going to be sorely missed by all that knew her. Petra you were sick a long time and fought a tough battle. Now rest in peace! Jim and Daisy

I met Petra in 1980, when we both worked for Ivac Corp., in Sorrento Valley. Petra was known as Glo to me, as she was to everyone else. She brought "glow" into many people's lives. She treated me as a part of her family. With that embrace and acceptance from her, I grew to know her family and circle of friends. It's been a lasting friendship of over 40 years that I've known her. l will truly miss her. People like her don't grow on trees. May you rest in God's heaven. Maynard *********************************************** I will cherish all of the family/friends gatherings that we shared together. I miss those days. "Your life was a blessing, Your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words, Missed beyond measure." This is not a goodbye, but merely a so long until we're reunited again. You can carry on those gatherings with papa & mama, auntie Pina, uncle Raymond and other family/friends that have left us. Let them know that we send our love. With love, Tere
