Diana J. Madory
December 12, 1933- November 10, 2023
Diana Jean Madory was born December 12th, 1933 to Jamie and Clarence P Strickland Jr in Durham, North Carolina and and was called home to heaven and into the full joy of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 10th, 2023. After an extensive struggle with Parkinsonism and its various associated health challenges for close to 20 years, she was able to pass peacefully while surrounded by her loving family from the comfort of her home in Murrieta, California.
Diana was 89 years old and lived close to 70 years as a Spirit-filled, born again Christian with a sincere desire to please Jesus here on earth while expectantly awaiting her eventual sweet reunion with Him in heaven.
Two passages of scripture naturally on display in her daily life are found in Micah 6:8 and Proverbs 31:26.
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you,
But to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
“She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.”
Although she did not live a perfect life, as only Jesus could, Diana certainly walked the path of one dramatically changed by Him and strongly reflective of His character within her.
She is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, John, her youngest sister Jamie and spouse Nick, her son Carson, and daughters Kathy and Kris and their families.
Diana’s absence from those whose lives she touched as a faithful and loving wife, mother, sister and friend has left an undeniable void of unconditional care and concern that only Jesus will be able to fill. Her life reflected a deeply intimate relationship with Christ as those closest to her knew well. As a sincerely loving influence upon her family and friends’ lives, she displayed the rare quality of being truly present and fully engaged with whomever she was speaking. God gifted her with the unique ability to share His unconditional Love for people through the genuine interest she took in their lives and expressed ideas. She was a valuable tool in His hand here on earth and is now a treasured vessel safely at home in heaven.
Diana’s family would be blessed to have you join them in celebrating her life on Saturday January 6th, 2024.
Neither purchase of flowers or planting of tree is expected by family.

I will never forget Mom telling me just a few short days before the Lord took her home to heaven that she was going to help me decorate for Christmas this year. That was so typical of her throughout life. Always caring so much for others and wanting to help them in any way she could. I miss you and your sweet heart to help every day, Mom
