Barbara Jo (Bagby) Enterline8/07/1942 – 9/08/2023Barbara Jo Enterline passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, at a Temecula, CA Hospital on September 8, 2023. She was 81 years old. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1942 to Carl and Viola Bagby. Barbara Jo grew up in Missouri with her two brothers and a sister. In youth, she was called upon to take care of her siblings and father after her mother became incapacitated. This challenge uncovered her many talents as a cook and a creative master of handwork. Barbara was a gifted storyteller and had a deep connection with nature and all living things. She adored being out in the world and shared her experiences, painting lovely pictures of what she saw and heard through words. She had the innate ability to make others feel loved and accepted for what they were. Barbara lived all over the southwest and, as a military wife, spent time in Germany. Her sense of adventure took her to many parts of her beloved USA. She took cars, trains, and even a big rig truck, to see the sights and then used her power of words to let others share in her happy travels. Barbara is survived by her children Wendy, Kenneth Jr., Debbie, and Carl, her brother Glen Bagby, her sister Joyce Kennerly and her dear companion Dick Wright. Other survivors include Barbara’s many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and younger brother Donnie. Barbara’s ashes will be distributed per her wishes. In the end, this wonderful and a very spiritual woman was made as comfortable as possible and passed knowing she would reunite with her loved ones and that she was well loved in life.

After Mom’s car wreck (Dec. 2, 1953) Barb and I were at home alone a lot. We lived on a small farm 5 miles South of Huntsville, MO. Our father worked 6 1/2 days a week to pay the hospital bills. There was no medical insurance. When not in school we were home together a lot. Barb was 11 and I was 9. We fought a lot about who was going to do the chores. Bring in the coal for the stove. Heat the water in the double boiler on the kitchen stove to wash clothes. Fix lunch, clean house, etc. once she was playing piano in her underwear I told her to get dressed, she stuck her tung out at me and I shot her in the butt with my bb gun. That was one of three times that I got the belt.I still enjoyed our time together. Barb,I loved you! R.I.p.
