I spent what was to be Jay's last Sunday with him in Santee. We had a "typhoon Hilary party" and just had a relaxing afternoon listening to the rain on the tin roof.We talked about family, friends and the future. He was in such a happy place.You are missed Jay. x

Jay we have known each other since we were teenagers. You will always be my first crush and my very special friend. We caught up during COVID via zoom. We laughed so hard you were so happy for my happiness in life and my family as I was for yours. My heart and deepest sympathy goes out to your children Joy and TJ who you spoke so proudly of. I loved Jay. He was fun, funny, warm and kind. He kept me sane for a good portion of my senior year. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My love to his family and friends. I will watch the sunset and raise a toast in his honor. He leaves a lasting memory of what it means to be a good person in this crazy world.
