Ernest M. Brewer was born February 1, 1940 and died on January 7, 2023. He was 82 years old, just a few weeks shy of his 83rd birthday. Ernest had many medical issues for some time after suffering a major stroke in 2019 and then recently, several complications from his condition lead to his death. His life and memory lives on in the loved ones that he leaves behind. Ernest was one of 4 children. He joins his mother (Lorena Brewer) and father ( Frank E. Brewer Sr.) and older brother (Frank E. Brewer Jr.). His sister Mary Hemmons and brother Richard Brewer are both still living and will miss him very much.
Ernest enjoyed fishing, playing music, and riding his Harley motorcycle before his first stroke. Some of his favorite pastimes after his stroke were to watch women’s college softball games, USC football and NFL games, as well as watching cartoons like SpongeBob. To know him was to love him. Ernest was an extremely funny man, he told the corniest jokes but would make people laugh for hours. A very specific joke he loved to tell was about a cat getting ran over. If you knew him, you’ve heard it.
Ernest is survived by his wife Janie Brewer, his oldest son Ernie and his fiancé Becky, his middle son Pete and his wife Cointa and his youngest daughter Kelly and her husband Robert. As well as his 6 grandchildren Kaylee, Coraline, Camden, Viola, Theodore and Abigail.
