I wanted to finish my eye cases here in Torrance by 9am, or so, and then drive out to Riverside by 11:15, but I am starting them at 9 am. I wish I could be at there. I texted Ed Weisenheimer about the service. He would be there too, but he is on a cruise in the mid-Atlantic ocean. I bet if he were in the Pacific, he would have found a way to get back, and be with Jim and the family.

As an office building neighbor, and colleague, I enjoyed Jim’s advice, warmth, and Irish sense of humor. I especially enjoyed stories, like the one of his father betting someone that he could throw a pumpkin over a house. It was a miniature pumpkin! I promise to attempt that one on Halloween someday.
