Scott Andrew Thompson, 64, of Murrieta, CA, passed away on November 27th 2024 surrounded by family and loved
ones. Born on January 5th 1960 in Holyoke, MA, Scott lived a life marked by charisma and possessed a rare gift for
making the world a brighter place simply by being himself. He had an unparalleled ability to inspire others to achieve
their dreams and goals, always offering words of encouragement and unwavering support.

Scott served his country with the United States Air Force and continued that service as an Account Manager for the
Department of National Archives and Records Administration. . He received several Archivist Achievement Awards
thus demonstrating his commitment to excellence. Outside of work, his three main loves in life were family, nature,
and travel. His greatest pride and joy was his family, always putting them first and cherishing every moment spent
together. One of Scott’s masterpieces was a sanctuary for hummingbirds, butterflies, and other living things in his
backyard. He also created nutrient rich composts that he humorously dubbed, “Thompost.”

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Beth Thompson. He was a devoted father to Samantha (Trevor)
Lancaster, Alicia Thompson, and Mark (Taylor) Thompson. He was a cherished grandfather to Xavier and Vanessa
Lancaster. He was a beloved brother to Walt (Renee) Thompson, Barbara Thompson, Sam (Mary) Thompson, Rick
(Suzanne) Thompson, and Dave (Barbara) Thompson, as well as many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
Scott was a dedicated and much loved son-in-law to Ginny Oreb
Scott was preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Helene Thompson and his favorite father-in- law, Mark Oreb.

Scott’s genuine ability to light up a room and make others feel known and loved is a gift that will live on in the hearts
of all who knew him.

Scott was the most consistently happy person I knew. He as was said could light up a room just by being there. I will miss him greatly.

To My Closest Friend You were more than just a friend—you were family. A constant source of support, love, and laughter, you were always there when I needed you, no questions asked. Your kindness and loyalty knew no bounds. As a husband and father, you gave everything to those you loved, and it was a privilege to witness the love you shared with your family. I will forever be grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the bond we had. I could always count on you, and I will continue to carry you with me in my heart. You were one of a kind, and I will miss you always. Rest easy, my friend. You will never be forgotten, love you like a brother!
