Rocheen Andrews

Rocheen Andrews was born on September 5th, 1956. She passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, surrounded by her husband and all four of her children.

She was unique from the beginning. She was the only girl born to Joseph Murray and Winifred Wendt Murray. The entire family was excited to name her, as the story goes, they took scrabble letters until they came up with something they liked. Rocheen was born.

Her parents both died when she was at a young age. Her Aunt Genevieve “Gen” and Uncle Jesse “Jes” raised her as part of their family, along with a lifetime of love and support from all Rocheen’s other Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Rocheen lived her childhood in Iowa, later she lived in Missouri, but her dream was to move to California which she did.

Rocheen’s accomplishments are too many to list. She made connections everywhere she went. Her love of people meant more to her than the achievements. She kept in touch with family and friends regularly. Some interests and groups include: equestrian, pageantry, publishing, serving the military, real estate, politics, church and community life. She loved thousands of people – she will be remembered and missed.

Preceding Rocheen to heaven: Joseph (Dad), Winifred (Mom), Jes (Uncle), Gen (Aunt), Roger (Brother) Linda (Sister in-law), Randy (Brother), Patsy (Sister in-law), many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and countless friends that Rocheen considered family.

Rocheen is survived by her husband Tony Andrews, 4 children: Renee and husband Baker Rawlins, Keithen and husband DC Legg, Jeff Andrews, Jerred Andrews, her 108 year old Uncle Ervin Wendt,  her 6 grandchildren: Parker 11, Brayden 10, Riley 8, Nuallan 4, Everett 3, Emma 2, many nieces and nephews and her two beloved dogs Tori and Maximus.

She loved bringing people together and FEEDING them. To know Rocheen was to break bread together. No one went hungry, all were full in belly and spirit after leaving a meal with Rocheen. Her faith in Jesus comforted many. Let us gather to celebrate a life well lived.

I’ve only had the chance to meet Rocheen once in my life, but she was a kind & loving soul. She orchestrated a family reunion & I met a lot of people I didn’t even know about because of it. I’ll always thank her for that. She also bought my newborn daughter a baby swing, which she absolutely adores & spends many of hours in. Maeve would have loved you very much, and I’m sad she didn’t get the chance to meet you. My heart goes out to the family, and I wish you all the absolute best. Much love, from Austin, Taylor, and Maeve.

I’ve known Jerred and his family since we were probably 11-12 years old. We met playing baseball and became best friend’s immediately. I spent many nights at his house, I remember we would ask Tony and he’d say not tonight, so we would walk on out to the outside room where rocheen was there on her computer greeting us with a smile, we would ask her and 9 times out of 10 she wouldn’t have the heart to say no. She was a second mother to me and I am so grateful to have known her. Jerred, I love you so much buddy I am so sorry for your loss. Even now I can feel your moms love pouring down, praying for us to be strong and continue to live through her ❤️ my whole family is sending love to you Tony and all the kids ❤️

I remember the day we met. Both our boys were on the same little league team. A little girl came up to me and said “ I like your cowboy boots” that was the start of our friendship. Rocheen was a mom to my kids when I wasn’t there. She always made sure they were fed well. My kids loved going to her house after school to play and swim. When I picked them up, even if I was in a hurry, she would talk me into staying for a cookie or her famous homemade fudge. I would stay for hours just talking. Rocheen deeply cared about me and my family. She gave good advise and was a good listener. I could tell her anything. She was also a pitbull when it came to protecting or standing up for the ones she loved. I really admired that about her. I’m beyond blessed to have spent so much time with her. I know she felt the same way about me otherwise she wouldn’t have let Katie and the boys spend so much time at the ranch. We use to joke about who got custody of the kids on the weekends. My kids loved her for her kindness and generosity. She treated them like her own. I will be forever grateful that our paths crossed. I will miss you beyond measure. Happy trails my sweet friend, until we meet again.

Rocheen was a second mom to me. I probably spent half of my childhood at the Andrews house and I was always so excited to get dropped off there. Rocheen always greeted me with a “Hi Sweetie!” And as much as I loved hanging out with Jerred, I was mostly excited about the treats and food Rocheen would make! Rice crispy treats with frosting, some crazy popcorn concoction, reindeer turds, and fudge just to name a few. She always made everyone feel so welcomed in their home. A trait not many people have. One of many fond memories I have with the Andrews fam is binge watching CSI and absolutely munching down on snacks! The Burks are sending all of our love and good vibes to the Andrews family. We love you all and will keep Rocheen in our hearts always!

Rocheen was a wonderful friend and we will miss her so much. When we moved to Pensacola, Florida, she helped with selling our home in Murrieta, Ca. We had to do a short sale and she took the case on. She went above and beyond to the extreme to make this happen and we have been so grateful to her ever since. She was a great friend. She was by the book and no one could pull one over on her. She had a beautiful spirit and big heart. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Rocheen opened her heart and soul to my son, DC Legg when he wed her daughter Keithen. Her love for him blessed me many times over the past two decades. I know she was met by out Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the moment she left this life. She is now perfected in Him. She will be missed.
