My Dear Friends,
This has been the most difficult time of our family’s lives…We all prayed so very much… but I guess God had other plans…
My beloved husband of 35 years, David Alan Stuckert, has gone to eternal rest on March 5, 2025, in Canyon Lake, California. He was such a brave fighter, but he succumbed to heart and lung failure.
David was born on June 20th, 1961, in Chicago, Illinois. He was known as “Chicago Dave” to his friends in California. He was a devoted husband and father, who embraced life with enthusiasm and a deep love for me and our beloved sons, Brayden and Cameron. David made our lives so magical, we were the center of all he did, taking great joy in creating so many wonderful lasting memories that we will forever cherish. He adored his Illinois family and was very proud of his heritage.
He took tremendous joy in raising our kids in Canyon Lake..
He got a kick out of driving us around on the golf cart to see all the glistening holiday lights, cruise to a restaurant for a bite to eat or catch live music at Holiday Harbor. He coached our kids baseball teams after a long day of commuting from LA.
He loved the lake and going on boat rides with friends. “All” were welcome over for a BBQ and some fun by the pool.. the only discrepancy is that we all HAD to listen to his “classic rock” with a splash of “The Rat Pack”! Like he would always say, “In this house, there is no other music”!
On Thanksgiving he loved to grill a 20 pound turkey, with a baileys & coffee in one hand and a baster in the other while belting out, Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”!
He took great pride in the homes we’ve lived in. He worked so hard to make them beautiful. First, in Lake in the Hills, IL, then here in Canyon Lake.
He was also a faithful Bears and Cubbies fan to the end.
He absolutely treasured Hawaii.. where we met, fell in love and got married.. Maui was his chill place and if you knew David, you know he doesn’t chill!
David had a midwestern work mentality and was acknowledged for his analytical eye and was very much loved and respected at Providence Health & Services. He was a Principal Service Engineer for Information Systems chain supply. He worked in the IS industry for 40 years starting at United Airlines when he was just 24. He was so blessed to have made so many lifelong friends along the way.
David was a very spiritual man with a big personality, who gave us millions of hugs and belly laughs… He made you feel like you were the only person in the room. His heart was overflowing with kindness, love, and a spirit that always found the silver lining in life. Though his time with us was too short, the memories of his laughter, warmth, and unwavering love for his family and friends will forever remain in our hearts. David leaves behind a legacy of love and a world that is now dimmer without his presence.
David is survived by his wife: Pamela McKay Stuckert, sons: Brayden Alan Stuckert, Cameron Pharis Stuckert. siblings: Denise (Leonard) Sipek, William (Vicki) Stuckert, and Barbara (Robert) Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette and John Stuckert; his sister, Karen (Hedger) Stuckert; and his parents-in-law, Pharis (Mack) and Colleen McKay.
Let’s raise a glass and give a toast to David whom we love, he’s watching down, he gives a wink, and gestures, “Shaka Brah” from the heavens above.
