Mack D. Meadors, 77, of Menifee, California, peacefully passed away on October 27, 2025, from heart failure at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Murrieta, California.
Mack was born on June 30, 1948, in Junction City, Arkansas, to his loving parents, Jewel Kinard Meadors and Jean Alice (Jackson) Meadors. He was the eldest of twelve children and grew up in Chicago, Illinois, where he attended People’s Church and first discovered his lifelong love for music.
On September 8, he married Sandra Meadors, his devoted wife and partner of nearly three decades. Their enduring love was built on laughter, faith, and mutual respect. Mack was also a proud father of six children from previous marriages, each of whom brought immense joy and meaning to his life.
From an early age, Mack displayed extraordinary musical talent. A gifted singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and pianist, he spent his younger years performing with renowned artists and groups including The Chi-Lites, The Stylistics, Lakeside, and Chaka Khan, and he opened for Kool & the Gang at major shows. In addition to performing on big stages, Mack’s love for music was deeply rooted in faith—he played keyboard and sang at churches throughout his life, sharing his gift to uplift and inspire others. Music was a defining part of his life—one that brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of hearing him play.
For family and friends, Mack was the heartbeat of every celebration. He was the go-to whenever music was needed—playing and singing at weddings, DJ’ing at reunions and birthday parties, and making every gathering brighter with his talent, humor, and joy.
Mack also had a deep passion for food—especially spaghetti and meatballs—and loved discovering new restaurants and flavors. A proud sports enthusiast, he faithfully cheered on his beloved Chicago teams.
Professionally, Mack worked at Zee Medical for many years before joining the U-46 School District, where he found great fulfillment transporting and caring for handicapped and disabled children from 2015 to 2020. His compassion, kindness, and patience touched the lives of many students and families.
