Henry Zenk Obituary

Henry Zenk, beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 88.  He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, adventure and sense of humor that touched many lives.

Born in the Bavarian region of Germany, Henry was one of 6 children.  Henry traveled and worked in various jobs in Europe.  After WWII, he worked in Switzerland and then on a chicken farm in England where he learned to make his favorite apple pies.  Henry came to the US in 1963 and began working with his brother-in-law.

Henry dedicated 35 years to Simpson Paper Company where he was rewarded for his loyalty and hard work.  After work hours and on the weekend, Henry devoted his time to German dancing with a troupe, who performed at various events.  When he was not dancing, he was fishing at the ocean pier or nearby lake.

Henry is survived by one sister, two sons, two grandsons, two granddaughters, nieces and nephews, as well as a wide circle of friends who became family over the years.  He will be remembered by many people.  Rest in peace, old fisherman.
