Betty Jean Chappell, 82, of Murrieta, California, passed away on February 23, 2026.Born on December 19, 1943, Betty was the daughter of the late Roger Allen Hosford Sr. and Francis Louise Pierce Hosford. She was married to the love of her life Richard Allen Chappell on October 30 1965. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Roger Hosford Jr., Stanley Hosford, and her husband, Richard Allen Chappell.Betty worked as a housekeeper and homemaker and was known for her strong commitment to her family and her faith as a Jehovah Witness. She devoted her life to caring for her loved ones, and found great meaning in her role as a mother and grandmother. She had a passion for singing and dancing, and shared that passion with her friends and family. She is survived by her sons, Eric Chappell and Frank Chappell; her grandchildren, Brianna Chappell, Emma Chappell, Olivia Chappell, Jason Chappell, Alyssa Chappell, and Chantel Chappell; and her sister, Judy Hosford.
