With deep sadness and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Alma Lorena Grijalva, who left this world on March 4, 2026.
Alma arrived in Murrieta at the age of 4 in 1977, where she grew up and built a life surrounded by family and community.
Alma Lorena Grijalva was a devoted mother, beloved partner, cherished sister, and loyal friend. She was also a faithful Catholic, and her faith was an important part of her life. Alma had a caring heart and a vibrant spirit that brought warmth and comfort to those around her. Known for her wonderful sense of humor, she could make those around her laugh with ease. Though small in stature, she was a true spitfire, full of personality, strength, and determination. Her love for her family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in the people she loved most.
She is survived by her partner, Brian Lee Magni; her beloved sons, Chandler Antonio Magni and his fiancée, Heather Duenas, and Tyler Reese Magni. She is also survived by her loving siblings, Maria, Santiago, and Nita; her nieces, Gabriella and Keira; and her nephews, Hayden and Logan, along with extended family members and many dear friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
Alma will also be remembered for the things that brought her joy. She was a devoted Dodgers fan and a passionate Star Wars fan, always enjoying the excitement of a game or the adventure of a galaxy far, far away.
Those who knew Alma will remember her kindness, her strength, and the way she made others feel seen and cared for. Though she is no longer with us, the love she shared and the memories she created will continue to live on through her family and all who loved her.
A viewing will be held at Murrieta Valley Funeral Home on March 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Her Funeral Mass will be held on March 27 at St. Martha’s Catholic Church, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a funeral reception at the church hall immediately following the Mass.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May perpetual light shine upon her, and may she rest in eternal peace.
