Anita Louise (Matlock) Chiuminatta was born January 21, 1943 in Los Angeles, California and passed away at home, surrounded by family, in Temecula, California on Saturday, March 7, 2026. Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Anita will be remembered for her selflessness, work ethic, and her unwavering love and commitment to raising her six children. Anita was a caretaker by nature, spending her life dedicated to her children, grandchildren, and to caring for countless pets, most recently her beloved miniature schnauzer, Bella, who was by her side day and night. Anita enjoyed cooking, gardening, doing puzzles, building lego sets, and playing checkers and connect four with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Joseph A. Chiuminatta, Cathleen Coltrain, Lisa Brownen, Brenda Chiuminatta-Chavez and Christine Cunningham as well as her 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Anita was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Joseph E. Chiuminatta, and her daughter, Deborah Embry. Private services will be held at Temecula Public Cemetery.
