A life beautifully lived in service, love, and family.

Dolores Irinea Estrada Luna, age 79, of Temecula California, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026.

Born on April 28, 1946, in San Pedro, New Mexico, to Anastacio Estrada and Gregoria Arvizo. From the very beginning, her life was deeply rooted in faith and family. She was baptized into the Roman Catholic Church at San Miguel Church in Socorro, New Mexico, in 1946, received the Sacrament of Confirmation there in 1948, and celebrated her First Holy Communion at Madre de Dios Church in Winslow, Arizona, in 1954. As a young woman devoted to her church and community, Dolores was honored as Queen of the Catholic Youth Organization.

Dolores graduated from Winslow High School in Arizona, in 1964, then began her next chapter filled with love and purpose. On July 4, 1964, she united in Holy Matrimony with the love of her life, Gabriel Luna, at Madre de Dios Church in Winslow, according to the rite of the Holy Catholic Church. Together, they embarked on a life of devotion, resilience, and partnership.

Later that year, Dolores and Gabriel moved to Anaheim, California, and in 1966 purchased their first home in Fullerton. A decade later, they fulfilled another dream when they built their forever home in Temecula. There, Dolores lovingly devoted herself to raising their two daughters, Valerie and Irene, creating a home filled with warmth, love, and care.

Determined and hardworking, Dolores pursued her passion for beauty and service by completing the Cosmetology program through the North Orange County Community College District in Fullerton, California, in 1974. She began her career as a hairstylist at the Disneyland Hotel. At the same time, she worked alongside her husband in helping establish Luna Construction in 1976.

For the next 50 years, Dolores built a remarkable career as a self-employed hairstylist, earning the love and loyalty of clients who became lifelong friends.

Along with her passion for being a hairstylist, Dolores found her greatest joy in connecting with people. She deeply cherished genealogy, lovingly tracing both her and her husband’s family roots with remarkable dedication and curiosity. Dolores was passionate about understanding her ethnic background, discovering where her ancestors originated, and uncovering the historical journeys that shaped their lives. Through this work, she formed a profound personal connection to her ancestry and took pride in preserving memories of her family’s legacy.

Her home was often filled with laughter, music, dancing, and the warmth of lively gatherings, where family and friends were always welcomed with open arms. In the kitchen, Dolores expressed her love by cooking delicious food, especially her beloved “Nana’s special sauce”, a treasured family tradition that became a symbol of her care, heritage, and unforgettable spirit.

Dolores Luna will be remembered for her warm heart, radiant spirit, and unwavering devotion to others. Kind, beautiful, and nurturing, she made everyone feel welcomed and loved, leaving an enduring impression on all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gregoria Arvizo; her father, Anastacio Estrada; and her brother, Edward Estrada.

Dolores Luna is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gabriel Luna; her children, Valerie Wesolowski and Irene Luna; her grandchildren, Elayna Lehr and Kyle Wesolowski.
