Fern Lucille Bickler Beeman

March 20, 1931 to December 2, 2025

Fern was born in Brinsmade, North Dakota. She was the third eldest of nine children. Rosella Nelvina Schille Bickler, her mother, was a fair and in charge type of parent. Her father,  Lucas Joseph Bickler, was a farmer and mail carrier.

Fern attended a country school during her formative years. After the family moved to Harvey, North Dakota, she attended St. Cecelia Catholic School and Harvey High School. When Fern was 19, the family moved to Minneapolis/St. Paul, where she met and married Charles Beeman. They moved to Jamestown, North Dakota, circa 1952. Eventually, she and Charles moved to San Diego, CA, via Anaheim, CA, where they raised five children: Frances, Irving, Saint, Webb, and Jennifer.

She had a multitude of skills and talents that allowed her to excel at various jobs, which came in handy after her divorce. Her artistic abilities led her to be an interior designer and entrepreneur in creating Tiles by Design, painting her clients’ visions. She worked at Applied Bio as a technical drafter until Saint needed her round-the-clock care.

Fern was predeceased by siblings: Amelia, Merwyn, Harold, and Carita. She is survived by siblings: Randel, Rose, Patricia, and Pamela, children: Frances, Irving, Saint, Webb, and Jennifer, grandchildren: Lincoln, Ceila, Brian, Tracy, Scottie, and Giovanna, Joshua, Brittany, Lindsay, Great Grandchildren: Kelsey, Samantha, Brooke, Karly, Griffin, Taylor, Nikson, Valen, Joshua, and Jade, Great Great Grandchildren Demetrius, Darius, Deon, Zella, Wrenly and Luxe.
