Our dear Victor Cervantes sadly passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 75. Victor was born on January 11, 1951, in Woodland Ca, but was raised from birth in Corona Ca by his parents Tony and Erlinda Cervantes. He later moved to Norco, California, where he made his home.
Victor was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who was deeply loved by his family and everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a truly one-of-a-kind personality and a presence that could never be replaced. Victor was known for his unforgettable sayings: “Yeah, buddy,” “You can’t do no wrong,” and “What do you say?” Hearing those words will always bring back fond memories of him and the special way he made people feel.
Victor was a giver in every sense of the word. If he had something and knew someone needed it, he would give it to them without hesitation. His generosity came naturally, and he was always willing to help others however he could. His kindness and giving spirit were among the many qualities that made him so special.
Trucking was a major part of Victor’s life. He followed in the footsteps of his father, Tony Cervantes, founder of Tony’s Hay and Grain in Norco, California and his grandfather, Frank Cervantes of Corona, Ca. His first driving job was for Cervantes Trucking, hauling hay for his mother and father, the owners of Tony’s Hay and Grain. Victor often said that hay was his favorite thing to haul and that it was something he truly loved. He also had a deep appreciation for the blues, including the music of B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, and Jimmy Reed. Whether he was talking about trucks, listening to one of his favorite songs, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Victor knew how to make an impression and create memories that would last a lifetime.
During his final health battle, Victor fought with incredible strength and determination. Even through the most difficult days, he continued making improvements and never stopped fighting. There were two steps forward and sometimes one step back, but he faced every challenge with courage. His strength gave his family hope and showed everyone just how much fight he had within him.
Victor is survived by his four children—his sons, Bernard, wife Dalia and 2 daughters. Josh, wife Kassy and 3 sons. His daughters, Jeanette, 6 boys and 1 daughter. Layla, 1 son and 1 daughter. His sisters, Mary and Eileen and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.
Victor meant the world to his family. He will forever be loved, deeply missed, and remembered for the man he was. His generosity, music, stories, favorite sayings, and unforgettable personality will continue to live on through everyone who knew and loved him.
Your thoughts and prayers are dearly appreciated during this difficult time, God bless you all!
