Agripina (Pina) Santiago Luiggi, 96, of Murrieta, CA, passed away peacefully on Dec 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Pina was born on Oct 2, 1929 in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, where she spent her early life with a large family home in Aguas Buenas, including Juana (abuela), Jesus (abuelo), Antonia, Felicita, Jacinto, Carmen, Maria Antonia, Crucita, Otilia, Victor, Ana, and Luisa. Pina and Ray (Quique) met in 1954, in Long Branch, NJ. One beautiful day in 1955, Ray took Pina out on a slow boat ride in Central Park, New York City. There he paused and proposed to his sweetheart and took “Pina” Santiago as his bride for life in 1955. Mom and Dad loved, cared, and cherished each other for the next 56 years. Pina and Ray started their family nest in 1956 with Ray Jr., followed by Ailene in 1957, and Eric in 1959. Mom and Dad were a team. It was the perfect love story. They set the example and showed us kids how to be loving and caring to our families and friends.
Mom was known above all for her love of God and family, and the open door policy she shared with all of her family, friends, visitors, all the while keeping the great food, fun, and laughter flowing.
Mom is survived by her children – Ray Jr, Ailene, Eric and the many Luiggi grand and great grandchildren:
Christopher, Joe (Bella, Anna, Henry), Stephanie (Asia, Isaiah), Ken (Skye, Ace), Steven (Octavio, Victoria, Xavier), Daniel, and Andre.

Pina nació el 2 de octubre de 1929 en Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico, donde pasó sus primeros años de vida en una casa familiar numerosa en Aguas Buenas, incluyendo a Juana (abuela), Jesús (abuelo), Antonia, Felicita, Jacinto, Carmen, María Antonia, Crucita, Otilia, Víctor, Ana y Luisa. Pina y Ray (Quique) se conocieron en 1954 en Long Branch, Nueva Jersey. Un hermoso día de 1955, Ray llevó a Pina a dar un paseo en bote por Central Park, Nueva York. Allí se detuvo y le propuso matrimonio a su amada, tomando a “Pina” Santiago como su esposa para toda la vida en 1955. Mamá y papá se amaron, cuidaron y se apreciaron mutuamente durante los siguientes 56 años. Pina y Ray comenzaron su familia en 1956 con Ray Jr., seguido de Ailene en 1957 y Eric en 1959. Mamá y papá eran un equipo. Fueron la historia de amor perfecta. Nos dieron el ejemplo y nos enseñaron a ser cariñosos y atentos con nuestras familias y amigos.
Mamá era conocida sobre todo por su amor a Dios y a su familia, y por la hospitalidad con la que recibía a todos sus familiares, amigos y visitantes, siempre con buena comida, diversión y risas.
A mamá le sobreviven sus hijos: Ray Jr., Ailene, Eric y sus numerosos nietos y bisnietos Luiggi: Christopher, Joe (Bella, Anna, Henry), Stephanie (Asia, Isaiah), Ken (Skye, Ace), Steven (Octavio, Victoria, Xavier), Daniel y Andre.
