Angelo Francis Ciotti, 73, of Menifee, California left this world peacefully on July 16, 2024.
Angelo was born on August 31, 1950, in Sayre, PA to the late Peter Ciotti and Lillian Ciotti
(Quatrini). He was one of five boys.
Angelo attended Sayre High School where he played varsity football, in 1968. Angelo earned his
Bachelors of Arts degree from Edinboro College in 1972, was published in the Law Review
while earning his Juris Doctorate in 1976, after moving with his wife and daughter from New
York to California and his Master of Business Administration from Chapman College in 1981.
Angelo lived and worked in Orange County, California with his young family before moving to
the Elsinore/Temecula Valley area in the 1980’s during which he continued working for
corporations in Orange County, CA and started a business in Europe.
Angelo was a certified Life member of the National Rifle Association of America and
volunteered in the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA). He was an XXlll
Olympiad Shooting judge. His sons, Nicholas and Johnny, and grandson, Zac, accompanied
Angelo on quail and deer hunting trips. Angelo shared a passion for hockey games with
his granddaughter Evelyn and they held season passes for the LA Kings. He volunteered with
Vets for Veterans, was a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus and a Boy Scouts of America Troop
Chairman. Angelo was a member of the Sons of Italy, a well liked friend and gentleman and a
beloved family man known for his patience, good humor, story telling, quiet strength and
love of family gatherings. Angelo cherished memories visiting loved ones in Sayre, PA and on
the East Coast. Angelo extensively played golf with family & friends including with his
daughter Juliet and son in law, John, at Woodland Hills Country Club and his grandson
Nathan and the entire family at Temecula Creek. He taught promising golfers at the
Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, California. Angelo also taught Business
courses, as well as, Fly Fishing at Mount San Jacinto College. Angelo was once mentioned in
the Western Outdoor News for catching a Sierra Grand Slam. He taught family members
fishing techniques and “secret” fishing spots, including a favorite at Lee Vining, CA where he
will eternally rest.
Angelo is survived by and leaves loving memories with Joyce E. Ciotti, whom he married in
1970; his daughter; Juliet L. (John) Montgomery; son, Nicholas J. Ciotti; son, Johnny V. Ciotti;
grandsons: Zachary D. Montgomery, Hunter R. Ciotti, Luke O. Ciotti, Nathan W. Ciotti and
granddaughter: Evelyn R. Montgomery, all of California and his brother Joseph Ciotti of Sayre,
PA. He is survived by a large and loving extended family.
