Annie Lee Overton was born on January 19, 1937 to Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Wright. She left for her home going May 17, 2024 at the age of 87.

The Wright family migrated from Mississippi to Detroit, MI in the early 50’s.

Annie attended and graduated from Northeastern High School in 1954 before entering into holy matrimony to, Louis Lee Overton from which 5 children were born.

The Overton family moved to Chicago, IL in 1960 where Annie worked as a Domestic Goddess.

Annie moved back to Detroit in 1972 where she cared for her parents and attended college. She received a degree which started her career in finances.

After working a number of years Annie retired and moved to California.

Annie loved to cook, eat, shop, attend church, go to the casino and laugh and talk on the phone to family and friends.

Annie’s late husband (Louis Sr), son (Louis Jr), sister (Ernestine), and brother (Charles) preceded her in death.

Annie leaves, to rejoice her home going, 4 adult children: Gabrielle, Leona, Leroy and Lawrence.

She also leaves one step-daughter:e Mary-Ann, 8 grandkids: Tim, Chanel,Tashombe, Xavier, Shantel, Tanisha, Victoria and Shay. Annie had a number of great-grand children, and a host of relatives and friends.
