Arthur John Dosch was born in Mina, South Dakota on January 24, 1937 to Theresia Schmidt Dosch & Andrew Dosch. He had 2 sisters and 2 brothers. He is survived by 3 daughters; Vicki, Pamela & Lorie. He also has 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In 1957, Art married his high-school sweetheart, Georgia Anne Johnson and soon thereafter, he joined the U.S. Army. He served in Korea and then returned to the states to finish his service in Louisiana. There he & Georgia started their family.

Art enjoyed pheasant hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling, treasure hunting, working in the yard, country music, cowboy tv & cars. His favorite toys were his ATV & his 1991 Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo sports car!

When God called Georgia home in 2002, he traveled to South Dakota & Nevada to see family and also spent time with those here at home.

In 2005 he met Diane Tryon. They wed in 2007 and they had great times together. This union brought two step-daughters, Sandy & Stacey, and 3 step-grandchildren to his family. Their life together was cut short and Art experienced another deep loss with Diane’s passing.

Art moved to Brookdale Murrieta in March of 2023. He made many friends with staff & residents both. In 2024 he was asked to be an Ambassador which he happily accepted. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, August 25, 2025.

Our Dad was an amazing man. He will be truly missed. I think about all the time I have been away and not being able to see him or talk to him. It was always a Blessing when Vicki or Lorie called me when they were with dad so I could talk with him or FaceTime with him. A a few times even doing crafts together through FaceTime. Even though distance kept us apart, he was always on my heart. A day will not go by without remembering his kind heart. The love he always had for his family. And oh yeah his German stubbornness. lol. I Love You Daddy. Your Family love you. You have our HEARTS forever. RIP
