Caroline “Carol”Pariseau Cuffel, 64, of Murrieta, California, was received by the Lord on August 19, 2026, shortly after her extended family sang “Jesus Loves Me” surrounding her bedside. Beloved by many, her presence is deeply missed.
Carol is survived by her husband of 42 years, Mike; her son, Jason, his wife Maile, and their children James, Sophronia, and Kristin; her son, Kevin, and his wife Apryl; her daughter, Chloe; her mother, Sharon; her brother, Brien, and wife Eileen; her sisters, Susan and Gail; many nieces and nephews and their children. She was preceded in death by her father, Darold Pariseau (2003).
Carol Kay Pariseau was born in Inglewood, California, on November 25, 1961, as an unexpected twin. As the story goes, her mother took a brief nap after delivering her sister and awoke to twin baby girls! Raised in Santa Ana, California, she attended Santa Ana High School with her siblings. On January 27, 1984, Carol married the love of her life, Michael Steven Cuffel, at a small ceremony at St. John the Baptist in Costa Mesa. Carol and her family resided in Murrieta Valley since 1989.
Our Heavenly Father granted Carol many gifts, which she used to bless those around her. Carol’s greatest interest was her family. She homeschooled her children, as her dear friend said, “because she just wanted to be around them as much as possible.” She rose early every morning to see her husband off to work, and her children fondly remember waking up to her reading her Bible. As an empty nester, Carol’s biggest hobby was spending time with her husband. They loved visiting with their children and grandchildren, trailer camping at Silver Lake in the Eastern Sierras, off-roading in Ocotillo Wells, boating with Brien and Eileen at Lake Mead, wine tasting in Temecula, and hosting dear friends and family in their peaceful home. They faithfully attended Faith Bible Church (FBC) for nearly 20 years, where they rarely missed a Sunday service.
Carol’s intentionality with everyone is dearly missed. As an exceptional listener and wise, biblically grounded counselor, Carol faithfully served as a mentor in Moms by Grace at FBC. She also stayed in prayer with peers, her beloved “Sunrise Grammies”, hiking at dawn while lifting their families in prayer.
Grandma CC, as her grandkids called her, is tremendously missed by her family, friends, and church community. Beautiful, humble, meek yet strong, armed with a great sense of humor and an endearing laugh, “CC”brightened every room. Carol’s love for the Lord and strong faith was evident to all and demonstrated in her sacrificial love for others. She faithfully glorified God and fully enjoyed him daily.
