Casey Henry McIntosh

Our family is brokenhearted to announce the passing of our beloved Casey McIntosh, at the age of 35.    Casey was born on December 24, 1989 at Inland Valley Hospital, Wildomar, and left this life on May 3, 2025 in the very same building.   He lived his entire short life in Murrieta, attending school at Rail Ranch Elementary, Shivela Middle School, and Vista Murrieta High School. He was embraced, nurtured, and loved by his neighbors, schoolmates, and teachers in this community, and for that we will be forever grateful.

In his twenties, Casey developed some unexpected challenges that unfortunately limited his social life, but he continued to bless our family with his unique sense of humor and witty banter. He loved movies, music (especially reggae), his dog Eli, and most of all, his large extended family.

His parents, Scott & Michelle McIntosh, and brother Luke McIntosh will hold a celebration of Casey’s life at 10 a.m. on June 17, 2025 at Murrieta Valley Funeral Home. 24651 Washington Ave., Murrieta, CA.

All of my memories of Casey include the McIntosh sense of humor. Even though he didn’t talk much, when he did, he sure made everyone laugh. One Easter, I walked into my bedroom and found Casey fast asleep in my very comfy bed. He felt safe enough at our house to make himself feel right at home. I will always remember him as a huge fan of basketball, specifically the Lakers. He was a big Kobe Bryant fan and would wear his jersey. I can’t remember a time he wasn’t wearing a favorite sports teams shirt. Casey was loved so deeply by his whole family. I know he is up with his Big Poppa, Uncle Dick and Uncle Craig, talking all things sports.

When Casey was born he and his parents were our next door neighbors. Although they moved early on we stayed friends for many years but as sometimes happens we lost touch (sadly) so all my memories of Casey and Luke are when they were little boys. Anytime I saw Casey he had his Woody Doll from Toy Story. It seemed like he carried that doll for years but I might be remembering wrong. So even though Casey and Luke are forever linked together I also think of Casey and Woody as permanently linked- You Got A Friend In Me. Rest in peace Casey.

Casey was our special angel - a gift that blessed and enriched our lives. He was exuberant, curious and had a way with words that was honest but clever and always brought a smile. He loved his family and we loved him. Rest in peace special angel. 💕

Rest in Peace, my special one ❤️ I hold onto your last words to me, with every fiber of my being. You told me: “We will be together.” You said it with such conviction, I have to believe it’s true.
