Of Wildomar, California, Age 77, passed away suddenly on July 6th, 2024. He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on December 16, 1946 to Robert and Eileen Young of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin as the 4th of 6 children.

Chandler is survived by his devoted wife Shawn Young, his beloved daughter Erin Young, and cherished granddaughter Emily Hotlen-Young, his stepson Erin Elders and daughter-in-law Annie Erb and brother-in- law Patrick Coffey.

He is preceded in death by his sister Sallie Young Lamers and Bob (Robert)Young, Chan is also survived by his loving siblings, Leslie Young (Libertyville, IL), Mark Young (Milwaukee, WI) and Kerri Young McWithey (Fond du Lac, WI), and a large family of many nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces and his first wife Diana Plotkin whom he adored.

Chandler grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, and received a degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee in 1970. He worked for years in the print industry with many creative and artistic people on beautiful pieces of art that inspired many for years. Chan became an accomplished guitarist, playing bass guitar in clubs around the Milwaukee area with his friend Gil Plotkin.

Chandler found the Baha’i faith after working with his wonderful friend Bob Reddy on printing the massive amount of print work to get ready for the Baha’i World Congress in 1992 in New York City. Month after month of printing and working with Bob he was so attracted to the faith that he later became a devoted member of the Baha’i Faith. For the rest of Chan’s life he dedicated himself to teaching and being of service to all he met. Everyone who knew Chandler found him to be an unusually kind and accepting human being who always saw the good in everyone he met. His smiling face, gentle manner and beautiful nature made all those he touched better and happier. He was truly a gentle being.
