Emilia Blanco Perez was a devoted wife to our late father, Benito R. Perez. Together, they built a beautiful family, and their love, hard-work and dedication was the foundation upon which we all stand today. Emilia was the proud mother of six children, the cherished grandmother of eleven grandchildren, and the delighted great-grandmother of one newborn grandson. Each of us carries a piece of her spirit, her laughter, and her unyielding love, which binds us together as a family.
As a talented dressmaker and seamstress, Emilia had a gift for transforming fabric into beautiful creations. Her hands were skilled, but it was her heart that truly shaped her work. She poured love into every stitch, creating not just garments, but memories that we will forever treasure. Her passion for her craft was matched only by the pride she felt when she saw her family wearing her creations, each piece a testament to her dedication and love.
Emilia was deeply religious, a woman of faith who found strength and solace in her beliefs. She taught us the importance of compassion, kindness, and the power of prayer. Her unwavering faith inspired us all, and it was through her example that we learned to embrace life with gratitude and grace.
Family was everything to Emilia. She loved being surrounded by us, filling our homes with laughter, stories, and delicious meals that seemed to carry the essence of her love. She truly was the glue that held our large family together, always ensuring that we stayed connected, even as life pulled us in different directions.
One of her greatest joys was traveling the world, exploring new cultures and forming connections with people everywhere she went. Yet, her heart always longed to return to her homeland, the Philippines. It was there that she felt most at home, surrounded by the warmth of family, friends, familiar faces and the beauty of her roots. The stories she shared from her travels ignited our own sense of adventure, and we will carry those stories with us as a part of her legacy.
Emilia, we love you enormously. You taught us how to love fiercely, to find joy in the little things, and to cherish our time together. Your laughter, your kindness, and your unwavering support will forever echo in our hearts.
