Frank Gibbon, 92, of Murrieta, Ca. passed away on morning of Sept. 29th 2025.
He was born on July 5th, 1933 to Frank and Augusta Gibbon in New Jersey where he grew up and worked with his dad in construction. He joined the Air Force in 1952 and served during the Koren war. He saw many countries during that time but landed back in New Jersey where he met his future wife Kathy. They were married in 1955 and had 3 children, Debra, Barbara and Gerald.
In 1961 they moved to California, settling in Huntington Beach then moving to Corona. After Frank retired in 1982 from the Carpenters Union, they moved to Wrightwood then St. George Utah briefly, before finally settling in Sedona Arizona for the next 20 years. In 2020 they moved to Murrieta, Ca. to be closer to family. There they enjoyed meeting new friends and great neighbors, as well as their weekly “Taco Tuesday” group.
Frank is survived by his daughter Debra, his son Gerald, his sister Pat and her family. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and many nieces and nephews.
The services will be held at Murrieta Valley Funeral Home, 24651 Washington Ave. Murrieta, Ca. on October 28th,2025 at 10:00am with brief gravesite ceremony to follow at 1:00 in Riverside at the National Cemetery.
