Joan Victoria Madrid was born April 8, 1946, to Andrew and Marjorie Zagami in Rochester, New York. As a young girl, she moved to Temple City, California, with her parents and siblings. She graduated from Temple City High School and went on to get her master’s degree in history. She taught Jr High School for 35 years.
She met and married Alexander A Madrid Jr in 1970. She had a daughter, Kim Madrid, in 1973. She retired in 2010 and spent time volunteering with The Temecula Womans Group. She loved cooking and baking the best cookies, candies and breads. During the holidays, she always baked goods for family and friends.
Joan passed away September 5. She leaves her husband of 53 years, daughter, and her brothers Robert Zagami and Joseph Zagami.
