Lawrence was truly a treasure. He was a gentleman who led with kindness, thoughtfulness, compassion and a sharp streetwise intelligence. It was a privilege to be in his presence, to share in conversation and to experience his great sense of humor. He will be deeply missed. Love ya Lorenzo

My heart goes out to my extended family during this difficult time. Uncle Lawrence was truly a gentleman with such a kind and beautiful soul. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love and memories he shared with everyone will remain forever. I’m keeping Brenda, Michael, and the entire family in my prayers, asking God to surround you with comfort, strength, and peace. Sending you all so much love. ❤️🙏🏽

Norfleet or “Fleet” as we called him was a good man. I worked with him for 11 years on the police department. I was blessed to know him. He was an excellent provider as a husband and father. His dry but hilarious sense of humor will be missed.

We are so grateful to have known Mr. Lawrence as our neighbor. We were lucky enough to have him attend our wedding a couple months ago. It was so much fun seeing him dance with Brenda and the rest of Poppy Lane. Any time we were together we enjoyed talking football together and giving each other a hard time for rooting for the wrong ‘bird’. This season we’ll be rooting for the Ravens for you 💜 hoping for a Ravens vs Eagles Super Bowl this year!

Lawrence had a way of making everyone around him feel like they were welcomed. We spent out time together with his wife Bredna playing games such as monopoly deal. Although the rules said 7 cards in hand casually have 8, maybe 9 cards in his hand and finish his turn. We’d have to count his card to confirm he has 7 before we moved on.That was Lawrence a little mischief and a lot of heart.I used to tease him about hitting a hole-in-one during his beloved Ravens games, which made about as much sense as it sounds. He’d just play right along, straight-faced, like it was the most reasonable thing in the world because getting that laugh out of him was worth every bit of nonsense.Funny enough, our paths crossed for years without us ever meeting both of us working at Blizzard and Treyarch, moving through the same halls at different times.Lawrence, thank you for the laughs, the extra cards, and the hole-in-ones that never happened. You’ll be deeply missed.

I’m a family friend of Lawrence going back over thirty years. Lawrence was the perfect complement to my friend and his wife Brenda—a patient, strong, hard working and giving man. Always kind, willing to get on the dance floor, and steady. His devotion to God and command of the bible were inspiring to me. His dedication and wisdom as a dad were rewarded with a warm and caring relationship with his wonderful son Michael. Our most treasured times were sharing a love of basketb and other sports. I know he enjoyed his colleagues and took his duty to protect seriously. He is sorely missed but certainly felt the Lord’s presence and blessings together with us as he faced death. We trust you are with the Lord and at peace. Love to Lawrence’s family today and always. My children join me in pledging our continued support and love.

My Condolences to the Norfleet Family, I met Fleet about 20 something years ago as a police officer. We became friends then brothers. We kept in touch after retirement talking about sports and stuff from the job we both retired from. My brother we will meet again so we can finish talking about your many sport teams you had. I truly miss you my brother.

I got to know Lawrence when our sons were in high school together. I quickly learned that God and the well being of his family were his priorities. He was a devoted and patient husband and a supportive and doting Dad. His countenance exemplified the Fruits of the Spirit, found in Galatians 5:22… love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. I feel blessed to have known him.
