Linda Gackstetter, 65, of Hemet, passed away January 3rd, 2024, in Loma Linda California. Linda had a 7-year battle with stage 4 breast cancer. Unfortunately, while in the hospital, she caught Covid-19 and a colon infection, which overtook her.
Linda attended Argosy University in Ontario and in 2016 she was able to achieve her bachelor’s degree with Honors in Business Administration with a concentration in management and healthcare at 58 years old. This was a huge personal lifetime accomplishment for her, and she was so proud!
Linda worked in the customer service business as a cashier for most of her career, 20 years. Her kindness always shown through, where she made friends with customers and coworkers alike, wherever she went. She was always willing to go the extra mile which, more often than not, brought a smile to someone’s face and skip to their step.
Linda is survived by her former husband, Lewis Freeman, and their children, Christopher and Jamie; Jamie’s husband, Michael, and Chris’s wife Katja; grandchildren Aaliyah, Andrew, Sophia and Lucas; brothers, Tom and Phil; sister, Roseanne; and mother, Rosellen.
Linda loved to play tennis, work out. She especially adored spending time with her beautiful grandchildren, who she spoiled any chance she had. Linda was determined to stay active and invest time in new hobbies or interests. She was even taking guitar lessons!
Linda always had the biggest heart and would give anything to make people smile. She loved to travel and had big plans to see her grandchildren in Germany.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 12, 2024, at 10am at Murrieta Funeral Home.
