Margaret (Pegy) was born in San Jose, California to Graydon and Mary Bannert. Though she moved many times, she returned to California, where she worked as a florist and met the love of her life, Ray Botello. Married for 34 wonderful years, they relocated to Murrieta, CA, where they lived for 29 years. Pegy lived a life of kindness, compassion, and joy. She touched the lives of many with her sweet, loving, artistic soul, leaving behind a sincere impact on her family and friends.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Pegy always placed the needs of others before her own. Her unconditional love and unwavering support brought comfort to those around her, and her warm smile could brighten anyone’s day. She would listen to the details of your stories and come up with special presents that were funny and thoughtful.
She lived a life of creativity, finding joy in the little things and cherishing the moments spent with loved ones. Whether she was painting or wood carving with her friends, her whimsical innocence came through in her art. She was always learning and growing. She loved to make people smile, whether she was making angel dolls for children experiencing trauma, or baking cookies for her neighbors and friends.
Pegy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be carried in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
In passing, Margaret Louise Botello at age 82, was greeted by her father and mother, Graydon and Mary Bannert, and her siblings Patricia Ashby, Kathleen Duncan, and John Bannert. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond Botello, her brother Graydon Bannert, and her three daughters: Teresa Giago, Denise Giago, and Michele Hudson, her stepdaughters: Meri West and Christina Botello. Her grandchildren include Amber Gonzales, Dustin Boyter, Derek Hudson, Lily Hudson, Chloe Hudson, Hunter McGahan, Connor McGahan, Alexandria (Alli) West, Troy West, and Charlotte Peeler. Her great grandchildren include Lillie Gonzales, Moose Hudson, Sylus Hudson, and Hazel Whitewash.
Though Pegy has moved on, the imagination she has enlightened in her loved ones, the smiles she instilled in our hearts, and the care she gifted will remain forever with us. May she rest in eternal peace.
