Maria Leticia Tamayo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025 at the age of 71, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on April 28th, 1954, in Jalisco, Mexico, Maria lived a life filled with compassion, grace, and strength. She was the heart of our family—a woman whose kindness, sincerity, and unconditional love left a lasting imprint on everyone she met.

Maria was a devoted wife to Alfonso Tamayo, a nurturing mother to Noemi, Juan, Gerardo, Alfonso, Aurora, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to 30 wonderful children. She was a friend to many and known for her warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering support for those she loved.

Her home was a place of comfort and joy, where family gathered often, and memories were made over shared meals, laughter, and stories. She taught us the value of love, hard work, and being true to oneself.

Maria Leticia Tamayo is survived by spouse, children, grandchildren, siblings and preceded in death by Rosario Ramos.

A celebration of her life will be held on June 13th, 2025, at Tamayo Residence In honor of Maria’s loving and generous spirit.

Her love will forever live in our hearts.

I’m writing this letter to the most important woman of my life. The one woman who will always live in my heart no one will ever take your place for it only belongs to you, the most beautiful, loving, caring, kind woman that has lived in my heart from the moment you held me in your embracing, loving arms your unconditional love and your love that no one could ever take. You always stir besides me, never did you turned your back on me even when you were upset words could never express the regret and pain that will live in my heart. I will forever cherish you for you have always love me unconditionally. I could honestly say that God has the most love you beautiful angel in his kingdom. Thank you Lord. Forgive me my mother now she’s in your loving arms , please allow me to see her one day and tell her how blessed I was of her and how fortunate I was of her she’s my number one my mother, my best friend, I will forever cherish you in my heart, for no one will ever take your place I love you, mom and I will miss you until then I won’t say goodbye. I will see you again we all love you and we will miss you dearly and don’t worry we will take good care of my dad. I love you forever mom.

Growing up my grandma was like my mother she cared for me and looked out for me, she was a big part of my life and everyday I would think about how she would always walk me to school, make me my favorite foods, bring up my moral when I was low, and now I think about the times I took for granted when she was with us, I could of spent more time with her I could of asked her to go to my football games, and now a big part of my heart is missing there isn’t a day we’re I don’t hear her voice asking me if I ate or her asking me if I’m behaving I will forever love her and she will not be forgotten in my heart, here and there I would sing with her but now I regret the times she would ask me if I can sing with her and I would deny due to embarrassment it hurts me that I will no longer be able to sing with her. I love you Ama forever I will never forget you❤️❤️
