Pamela Lee Cooper, 77, passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on July 8, 2026, in San Marcos, California.

Pam was born in Oakland, California, on December 27, 1948, to Ruth Lee and Jack Edward Brown. She spent her early years in Japan and Turkey, where her father was stationed in the US Navy.

She attended Lakewood High School and later built a career as a manager at Pacific Bell. After retiring from the phone company, she had a second career as a preschool kitchen aide at Hephatha Lutheran, where she showed her love for the preschoolers through her creative and tasty snacks. Beyond her professional life, she was known for her kind, loving heart; her witty sense of humor; and her love of family and friends. She enjoyed camping with her husband, daughters, and especially her grandchildren. She was a painter, wine enthusiast, avid gardener, and her musician husband’s biggest fan.

She is survived by her husband Michael; her daughters Andrea Rueter (Dave), Tina Hoyle (Kevin), and Keri Ortiz (Uriel); and 6 grandchildren (Jack, Denny, James, Samantha, Christopher, and Wesley). She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth, her father Jack, her stepmother Aloma, and her brother Ed.
