Victor A. Quintanar passed away on July 3, 2023. Born on March 1, 1961, in Tijuana, MX. to Juan and Eloisa Quintanar, Victor was the youngest of their 9 children. Shortly after his birth, the family moved to San Diego, CA which remained home for many years, until moving to Temecula, CA later in life. Victor was a journeyman welder, very skilled at what he did. His career took him to several different places, working on tilt ups to US Navy ships.
Victor enjoyed Classic Rock music and playing pool. He liked Slurpees, chocolate chip cookies, rocky road ice cream and egg salad sandwiches. Victor took pleasure in the outdoors. The family could count on him to claim the spot (early mornings) for gatherings at the park and to have his volleyball net set up for everyone to enjoy. He liked spending time at the river or lakes boating or riding his jet ski. His greatest enjoyment came from fishing. Whether on a deep sea excursion, on shore at the lake, or simply sitting on the ocean pier, Victor loved to fish and to cook up his catch for friends and family.
Victor was reunited in death with his parents, his brother, Joe, his sister Irma, his sister in law Michelle, and his sister in law Irene. He is survived by his son Jason, his sisters Evelia (Oscar Sr), and Carmen Eloisa (Rosendo), and his brothers Javier, George (Lisa), John and Hector. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, who will hold onto the fun memories with him and who love and will miss their Uncle Victor.
