William Albert Barnes IV, 73, of Murrieta, California, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025.
Born on February 12, 1952, in Baltimore, Maryland, William lived a life defined by dedication—to his country, his career, and most of all, his family. He honorably served as a Captain in the United States Army, exemplifying leadership, courage, and integrity.
After his military service, William built a long and respected career in the insurance industry, retiring in 2018 after 40 years with Travelers Insurance. He was known for his integrity, professionalism, and unwavering work ethic.
William is survived by his beloved wife, Cecelia Barnes; his daughters, Catherine Davis and Jennifer Barnes; and his cherished grandchildren: Rylie, Connor, Shane, Hannah, and Addison. He leaves behind a proud legacy of love, service, and strength that will live on through the family he treasured.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, William found true joy in spending time with his loved ones. His warmth, steady presence, and quiet wisdom touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
